What we store
RentalSniper is built to hold as little of your information as possible. The only things we keep are:
- Your email address — it’s how you sign in (we use magic links, so there’s no password) and where your alerts go.
- Your search preferences and feedback — the city, budget, bedrooms, neighborhoods, and the notes you write in plain English, plus the thumbs-up / thumbs-down signals and email replies you send so we can tune what you see.
- Structured facts derived from public rental listings — things like price, bedrooms, square footage, and neighborhood, which we extract so we can score how well a listing matches you. We do not store or republish listing photos or the full listing text. When we’re done pulling the facts, the original content is discarded, and every alert links you back out to the original source.
What we never do
- We never sell your data — not your email, not your preferences, not anything. There is no ad business here.
- We never contact landlords on your behalf. You reach out to listings yourself. We’ll tell you the best way to do it, but the message is always yours to send.
- We never auto-send anything from your identity. Nothing goes out under your name or from your email account without you doing it.
Where your alerts come from
Alert emails are sent from alerts@rentalsniper.com. If you reply to one, that reply comes to us and is used only to refine your search — see “your search preferences and feedback” above.
Payments
Payments for the Pro plan are handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor. Your card details go straight to Stripe. We never see or store your card number.
Deleting your account and data
Email support@rentalsniper.com and ask us to delete your account. We’ll delete your account and the data associated with it within 7 days. No forms, no hoops.
